What an introduction to the Outer Banks!!! All we can say about the house is WOW! We arrived Sunday and never even ate out until Friday. We were having too much fun enjoying all the different things this fantastic home has to offer. Beautiful weather 5 of the 7 days. Absolutely loved the cooler nights in the hot tub with the fireplace going. My husband celebrated his 50th birthday on Wednesday by rescuing 2 of the kids from the strong rip tides (He’s our hero!). Kim and Bill, you have set the bar so high with the homes you build that others are really going to have to work hard to even come close to your high standards. Sure hope we can return next year. We spent so much time exploring the house, we didn’t get much of a chance to explore the area. We were definitely spoiled with our first trip to the Outer Banks. This is the Riley’s Family’s 4th trip to this house and as always, it has been fantastic. Though the weather was mixed, this house & community offered many different options for all ages. We’ve got the opportunity over the last four years to see the kids grow up loving this place and all looking forward to their week at the beach. This year was probably the most relaxing of all. We thank you for your beautiful home. And all that it contains. This is the one week our whole family gets to share each other’s company.

This was our second time at Paradise IV. 21 adults, 2 toddlers, 2 babies, 7 theme dinners – American grill, clam bake, Italian, Paradise Island, Thanksgiving dinner, Chinese cuisine, 5 guys with lots of nights at the outside bar, 7 “Happy Hours,” 1 plane ride, 7 wave runner experiences, 7 massages, and the movie theater. Long days in the pool, volley ball, floats, afternoons at the outside bar with frozen drinks, cold beer (always in plastic!), fishing at the pier in the P.M., endless memories. Thank you. Your house is beautiful. We hope to return again next year. Thanks for the gift basket and cheesecake.

The second year for many, first for some 15 adults and 11 kids. The pool and hot tub kept the kids entertained all week – the movie theater too. The spacious kitchen and bbq were wonderful. The house was so big we lost a few kids here and there! Everyone had their own space when needed. What a well maintained and beautifully decorated house. We had a wonderful and truly relaxing vacation. Thanks for the great week.

This is our 3rd time in “Paradise.” A wonderful time has been had by all once again. We ate, drank, swam, laughed, partied, played, sang, danced and relaxed in your beautiful home – since it’s our 3rd time – 2x in Paradise V & 1x in VI – we felt like we were at home here – We had such a great time spending a week together we can’t wait to do it again – Thank you for making such a cozy place for us to spend our vacation – We have such lasting memories and beautiful pictures to remind us of our beach vacation in the OBX.

As we leave today, we conclude our fifth consecutive year here--four years with two of your homes rented by our family. Our 5-year-old twin boys first came to their beach house when they were 14 months old. Our oldest son can’t remember not coming here either, because he is now 13 and has been coming since he was 8 years old. Through the last five years, we have been joined by more family members and close friends. You have no idea how many memories we create within these homes. We always have theme night family dinners and a visiting masseuse. Our motto: “What Goes On On OBX, Stays In OBX.” We have enjoyed your home and hope to continue to bring our families back to the Lane homes for many years to come. In closing, we recently lost my father (Vincent Howe) on August 13th, 2008, and to honor his memory, he has been with us three of the last five years, we had our annual VBH Irish Derby House Race. Until next year, be well and thank you for keeping your homes for us. P.S. once again, thank you for the Welcome Basket and this year, the delicious cheesecake.

The Lyon family enjoyed their 7th Annual family reunion in the Outer Banks. Paradise V was a perfect place to meet from Texas, Florida, South Carolina, and New Jersey. We shared a lot of laughs, meals and drinks, swam in the ocean, surfed, biked, walked on the beach and oh – the card games! We especially enjoyed the pool house area. As we pack to head for home, we all agree that this week flew by and we look forward to being all together again next year!

We all had a great time this entire week! We spent most of our time in this house! We didn’t want to leave! I will personally never forget the memories we made in this house and the OBX! The house is far more spectacular than the pictures on the web. We had five families with 14 kids and two great-grandchildren coming from California, Montana, South Carolina, and New Jersey. We loved how we could all be together or have some alone time in the privacy of our beautifully decorated suites. Each night one family hosted a theme dinner that included French, Mexican, Italian, Seafood, American, and the last night “pot luck” to eat up all the wonderful food that was left. We most enjoyed being able to all sit together for dinner in one magnificent area. We didn’t have enough time to do all there was to do in the house but we surely did our best! Didn’t miss much. The movie room was a great added feature. Thank you for sharing your home.

This was the second time in your beautiful home. Once again we were 12 adults & 6 children. Everyone enjoyed your home inside & out. The Gardner’s from KS, TX, FL & 2 families from PA – 19 in all. We have had a wonderful week with our family. We cooked every night – each family taking a day. We also held contests to rate cocktails & desserts for prizes. The view of the beach is a 10 from every window and the pool was a hit with kids. Mom & Dad suggest everyone should take morning walks on the beach “a splendid way to start the day.” We are planning our return – a new Gardner tradition has started here.

We live in Las Vegas, so this was a trek for us. And, we have to say it was one of the most beautiful locations! Our triplet boys turned 7 on 7/7/07 and wanted to celebrate with their cousins on the beach. We chose Duck and the Ritz by clicking a button on the internet and weren’t sure what we were going to find. But, this place is a dream and much more. Family drove here from Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Florida making our sons the happiest threesome this side of the Mississippi! We can’t say enough, so in the words of our sons – “This was the best birthday EVER!”

The weather was amazing. Only one day of rain. Every other day was perfect. This is our 18th year on the Outer Banks. We started as a group of eight, and we have now grown to a loving group of 21. Who could resist OBX. We absolutely love your beautiful house as this is our second year staying in it and can’t wait until next summer. The weather was great most of the week. We all love to shop, so shopping at the stores and talking on the ride to and from was good. Our children loved your media room, game area, and of course, the pool. We all ventured out to the beach, but loved returning home here to this beautiful house. Out of all the homes we have rented through the years, yours was the best decorated by far. We all love to cook so we ate in most of the time. We really enjoyed your kitchen. We all want to thank you for the beautiful gift basket and the cheesecake was the best. I am sure we will definitely look into returning to another Lane home, but in a different location. We love the beach and wish it were closer. All in all, everything was great
